The pint tool, provided by the new python-susepubliccloudinfo package, can be used to retrieve information useful for Public Cloud deployments of SUSE Linux Enterprise. SUSE Linux Enterprise images in the Partner frameworks have a defined image lifecycle. The tool can be used to retrieve information about the images considered current as well as retrieve historical information providing a chain of replacement images from any image in the past to the image considered currently active. The tool also provides information about the IP addresses of the servers that comprise the SUSE operated update infrastructure. This information is useful for routing configuration, allowing outgoing traffic to trusted external hosts only.
